Description
The second edition of Professional Ethics is a comprehensive textbook designed for budding engineers and managers. The book has been written in a simple manner with plenty of examples and case studies that will enable the readers to effectively resolve the ethical issues they will face in their professional lives.
Starting with basic terminologies and ethical views of many thinkers from India and abroad, the book discusses the basic tenets of professionals and professionalism, ethics in engineering, engineers\' responsibility for safety and responsibilities and rights of individuals and professionals along with impact of social media, personal ethics and value sciences. Global ethical issues, corporate social responsibility, media and research are some of the other topics covered in the book. Intellectual property rights, ethics audit and development and detailing of ethical codes from professional engineering bodies are also included. In addition to these, human values and attitudes, which forms the basis of ethical decisions and actions, is also included.
